- Diamond – Introduction, historical background, origin, mining, major diamond deposits of the world and famous diamonds.
- Formation of rough diamond – production from mines – sources & location.
- Various types of rough – Syndicate, Australian, Russian, South African, Coated, Brazilian, Cleavaz etc.
- Crystallography, mechanical properties, optical properties & distinctive features.
- Introduction to rough assortment: makeable, sawable, cleavable, resale, rejection.
- Model assortment, expected yield, table & culet planning, different type of planning, ‘planning’ as per clarity, planning as per weight or expected yield.
- Estimated yield & proportions.
- Grade diamonds as per international industry’s grading standards for color, clarity, cut & carat.

You can study MASTERS IN DIAMOND separately, However, If you pursuing Masters In Gemology, diamond’s supreme course MASTERS IN DIAMONDS is included.
Do I Have To Study The Masters In Gemology Before Taking The Masters In Diamonds Diploma?
Cancellations received more than two weeks prior to the start of the course incur a minimum cancellation fee of Rs. 15000 or 10% of the course fee, whichever is greater. Within two weeks prior to the course start date, a 50% cancellation fee is applied. We regret that for cancellations received within five days of the commencement of the course, or at any subsequent time, no refund can be given.
When is a colored diamond a fancy color diamond?
When a diamond falls outside of GIA’s D-to-Z color scale, it is considered a fancy color diamond. This includes all colors other than colorless to light yellow or brown. On GIA Colored Diamond Grading Reports, colored diamonds are graded in order of increasing color strength, from Faint, Very Light, Light, Fancy Light and Fancy to Fancy Intense, Fancy Vivid, Fancy Dark and Fancy Deep. Fancy Intense and Fancy Vivid generally command higher prices.
What education qualification is required for the diamond course?
These all are skilled oriented courses which doesn’t require any particular qualification or degree as such. However, we would recommend 10+ Grade students to be eligible for the courses.
